አገራችን ኢትዮጵያ አሁን የደረሰችበትን እጅግ አሳሳቢ እና ወደፊትም ሊከሰቱ ይችላሉ የሚባሉ የስጋት አደጋዎችን፣ በተደጋጋሚ ልዩ ልዩ ኢትዮጵያዊ የሆኑ ድርጅቶችም፣ ግለሰቦችም ፣ የውጭ አገር መንግስታት፣ አገር አቀፍ እና አለም አቀፍ የሰብአዊ መብት ተከራካሪ ድርጅቶችም፣ የተባበሩት መንግስታት እና የአውሮፓ ሕብረት አመራሮች፣ የተለያዩ በአገር ውስጥ እና ከውጭ ያሉ የበጎ አድራጎት ድርጅቶች እና ሌሎችም ጭምር ያላቸውን ስጋት በተደጋጋሚ ሲያሰሙ ቆይተዋል፡፡ ለዚህም ስጋትና ፍርሀት ብቸኛ መፍትሄ ይሆናል ብለን የደመደምነው በዜጎች መካከል መፈጠር ያለበት ብሄራዊ እርቅ ነው፤፤ የኢትዮጵያ የእርቅና ርትአዊ ፍትህ ምክር ቤት (ኢዕርፍም)ምስረታ ከዚሁ ስጋት የመነጨ ነው::

ርትአዊ ፍትህ ዋና አላማው በሀገራችን ውስጥ ያሉትን አብይ የሆኑ የአንድነት እንቅፋቶችንና ኢፍትሀዊ የሆኑ ክስተቶችን በማውጣት፤ ዳግመኛ ህብረተሰቡን እንዳያውኩ ፍትሀዊና ዘላቂ መፍትሄን ማፈላለግ ነው:: እርቅ ያለ ርትአዊ ፍትህ የይስሙላና የአንተም ተው የአንተም ተው ዘለቄታ የሌለው መፍትሄ ነው:: እርቅና ርትአዊ ፍትህ የአንድ ሳንቲም ሁለት ገጽታዎች ናቸው::
Ethiopia has currently reached a very dangerous a worrisome juncture in her history. Various Ethiopian organizations, individuals, foreign governments, international human rights organizations, the UN, the Europian Union have warned of the impending doom that awaits the nation if the country continues in its current divisive tragectory. It is our firm belief that the only solution to our current gloomy reality is national reconcilliation. The very reason for the foundation of Ethiopian Reconcilliation and Restorative Justice (ECRRJ), is out of this worry and concern.
In Restorative Justice, our aim is to identify major obstacles for unity and injustices being committed in our country, so that lasting peace can be achieved through peace and reconcilliation. Reconcilliation without Restorative justice is a hallow and insincere solution. Reconcilliation and Restorative Justice are two sides of the same coin.
Who we are
The purpose for the formation of ECRRJ is to provide a framework for people to forgive, repent, and have an open dialogue in order to create healing, understanding, atonement, peace, and justice among all Ethiopians, domestic and abroad. We are all equal! We accept, include, and acknowledge the grievances, hopes, fears, and experiences of all Ethiopian people, regardless of political affiliation, religious belief, or ethnicity. We will work on a people to people grassroots level, among all ethnic groups including thought leaders, civil society or stakeholders.
As such, We have four immediate goals:
- To officially structure the council with a functional structure within six months.
- To promote tolerance, trust, equality and justice for all Ethiopians.
- To reach out to Ethiopian religious, civic and political organizations to enhance ECRRJ’s mission and ideas. We seekto build partnerships with other people and organizations.
- To use the media to create greater awareness on healing, reconciliation and the restoration of justice.
